Vercors Regional Nature Park

An inspired and inspiring land

Vercors Regional Nature Park has so much to offer with varied scenery and landscapes that can be explored at any time of year. These mountains are ideal for outdoor activities, making this a popular destination for both contemplative and sporty visitors.

In winter, the mountains are covered in snow for some great escapes on skis or snowshoes. The snow softens the landscapes and the subdued atmosphere plunges you into a Nordic environment, one that resembles the countries of the Great North. The vast spaces are ideal for activities in the snow.

In summer, the vast snow-covered spaces are replaced by flowery meadows. The footpaths are visible and all sorts of explorations become possible: on foot, MTB, on horseback, etc.
What makes these mountains so special is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere and the wild, unspoilt nature. The perfect place to fill your lungs with fresh air and enjoy the pleasures of the mountain, far from the crowds of the bigger mountain ranges.

Vercors can also be explored across several days, either on foot, by bike or on horseback thanks to the Grandes Traversées du Vercors (GTV) trails. Find out more and see the routes on the website:

The Park is also an institution that aims to protect the area, encourage the sustainable development of farming activities, arts and crafts and tourism... all while respecting the values of the environment. Find out more >
